Accessibility Statement
Bristol Christmas Market
Prepared: 14 October 2026
We want as many people as possible to be able to find information about Bristol Christmas Market and arrange their visit. This statement covers www.bristolchristmasmarket.com, including its market information, experience pages, interactive map, FAQs, contact forms and links to booking services. The website is operated by Relevention Ltd.
Our approach
Our aim is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines help make websites usable for people with a range of disabilities and access needs.
We aim to provide clear content, meaningful headings and links, readable contrast, useful image descriptions, labelled form fields, visible keyboard focus and interfaces that work with keyboard navigation, zoom and assistive technology. These are objectives, rather than a claim that every feature currently meets the standard.
Current accessibility status
Full conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA has not been established. This statement does not claim full or partial conformance on the basis of a complete accessibility audit.
A limited review of publicly available pages was carried out on 14 October 2026. It identified that some images are described using filenames or generic labels, and that heading levels are not always arranged in a clear hierarchy. These features can make content harder to understand or navigate with a screen reader.
That review was not a complete keyboard, screen-reader, mobile, colour-contrast or checkout test. Other barriers may therefore exist. We will update this statement as further testing identifies problems and improvements are completed.
Features that need further checking
The interactive map uses visual illustrations, pins and zoom controls. Its keyboard operation, focus handling and screen-reader information need further testing. If you cannot use the map, contact us for the location or visitor information you need. The illustration should not be relied on as an exact accessibility route plan.
Videos, animated decoration and image carousels need checking for accessible controls, motion reduction, captions and suitable alternatives where required. Some important information may be presented in images. Please ask us for a text explanation if you cannot access it.
Forms, expandable FAQs, cookie settings and Smart Chat need further testing with assistive technology, including labels, error messages and keyboard focus. You can email us directly if an online form or chat feature is difficult to use.
Booking and external services
Online bookings are handled on a separate DigiTickets website. That website has its own accessibility information and controls. We have not established that the complete booking journey is accessible to every user.
If a booking service creates a barrier, please contact us so we can discuss a practical way to help you access the service and make any reasonable adjustments. We will also raise problems with the relevant provider. Please do not send payment card details by email.
Requesting information or reporting a problem
Email info@bristolchristmasmarket.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line. You can also write to Relevention Ltd, 24 Cecil Avenue, Bournemouth, BH8 9EJ, United Kingdom.
Please tell us the page or feature involved, what you were trying to do, and the information or assistance you need. If you wish, include your device, browser or assistive technology and a preferred way for us to reply. You do not need to provide a diagnosis or medical history.
We will consider requests for information in another format, help with bookings and other reasonable adjustments. We aim to acknowledge requests within 14 working days and will explain the next steps and expected timing. If your visit is soon, please include its date.
If our initial response does not resolve the problem, reply asking for the matter to be reviewed by the market management team.
Accessibility at the market
Website accessibility and physical access to the market are different. The market is an outdoor event, and access arrangements can vary between stalls, seating areas and individual experiences.
Please contact us if you need current information about step-free access, seating, toilets, assistance dogs, sensory conditions or access to a specific experience. We will explain the available arrangements and discuss reasonable adjustments. We do not claim that every experience is wheelchair accessible without checking its actual access arrangements.
Advance contact can help us plan support, but it is not a condition of your right to reasonable adjustments. If you need help during a visit, speak to a member of the market team.
Reviewing this statement
We will review this statement after significant website changes and further accessibility testing. Priorities include descriptive image alternatives, heading structure, keyboard access to the map and forms, accessible media controls, and the booking journey. Confirmed barriers and progress will be reflected in future updates.
